According to the draft Rules relating to Good Pharmacy Practice, read together with the Medicines and Related Substances Act, medicines must be disposed of in an irretrievable manner but not into municipal sewerage systems. A pharmacist or other authorised person may destroy medicine containing a schedule 1, 2, 3 or 4 substance...
Can you please inform me who an "other authorised person" would be, and who would grant that authorisation?
The legislation is not clear on that point.
